Executive Director

Brittney Locken began her Club journey in 2017 when she began working at the Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County as a Youth Development Professional. Following the summer of 2019, Brittney was promoted and was selected to serve as the Club's Program Coordinator. Brittney was directly responsible for improving the Club's programs and increasing attendance and engagement. She saw the Club navigate the COVID years. She was responsible for implementing the continuation plan that allowed the Club to continue to serve youth in our community when the governor's COVID required us to halt on-site services temporarily.
She then graduated at Black Hills State University with a degree in Elementary Education and went on to be a sixth grade teacher at Wagonwheel Elementary. However, Brittney's passion for the Club and its members remained. Following her resignation from the Club, she continued to serve the organization by filling a vacant seat on the Club's Board of Directors. Brittney had served on the Board for three (3) years. During that time, she has been the secretary, vice-chair, and coordinator for the Boards resource and development committee.
She then went back to school and earned her Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction, graduating in 2023. During this same time, the position for Executive Director opened as Nathan Grotrian, the previous director, moved on to new adventures. Brittney followed her heart and became the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County in May of 2023. Now she is ready to do "Whatever it Takes" to ensure the success of every child who attends the Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County.
